M-2 Job Therapy is a private non-profit agency that works at community safety
by reducing recidivism. It administers two programs to assist our offender/ex-offender
clients. The M-2 Prison Visitation Program matches volunteers from the community
with prison inmates for the purposes of friendship and visitation. The volunteers
go into the prison as a group and visit once a month with their matched inmate.
The Job Counseling and Placement for Ex-offenders Program assists ex-offenders
in finding employment. Both program have been shown to reduce recidivism by
about 50%.
